Phillips illuminated textile garments

Phillips will be introducing their new technology called Lumalive to be a showcase at the International Funkausstellung. This new technology allows garments to carry unique exciting advertisements and graphics directly on the surface of the textile. Custom shapes, color, and animation will bring the custom imprinted industry to a whole new level. This technology is also being applied to furniture and other products made from fabric.

 

Phillips Lumalive fabrics feature flexible arrays of colored LEDs fully integrated into the actual fabric without loosing softness or flexibility of the material. Washing the garment is as easy as removing the electronics and throwing it in the washer. After the garment as clean the LEDs can be put back in for use.
